Day 1. Morning:

Take an early morning domestic flight from Addis Ababa to Shire.

Afternoon:

- Continue your Axum tour by visiting the Church of St. Mary of Zion, an important religious site believed to house the Ark of the Covenant. Observe the colourful murals, ancient manuscripts, and religious ceremonies taking place in the church compound.

- Visit the Tomb of King Kaleb, a burial site of one of Axum's prominent rulers. Admire the intricate carvings and decorations on the tomb.

Day 2 Gheralta

Head to the Gheralta Mountains and hike to the famous rock-hewn churches of Tigray.

Day 3 Hawzen

Explore the churches of Abuna Yemata Guh and Mariam Korkor.

Day 4 Wukro

Visit wukro town, have lunch in a local house or restaurant and interact with the community. After lunch, visit Teka Tesfay Cluster of rock-hewn churches near Wukro. The Teka Tesfay Cluster comprises three churches, Petros & Paulos, Mikael Melehayzenghi, and Medhane Alem Adi Kesho. After  touring,  Drive to Mekele. Overnight in Mekele.  the next day you will take a flight back to Addis Ababa.

 - Begin your church visits by exploring the western cluster, which includes Bete Medhane Alem (the largest monolithic church in the world), Bete Mariam (dedicated to the Virgin Mary), and Bete Golgotha (known for its supposed replica of the Holy Sepulchre). 

 -Continue your Lalibela tour by visiting the eastern cluster of churches, including Bete Amanuel (known for its finely carved columns and beautiful mural paintings), Bete Merkorios (dedicated to Saint Mercurius), and Bete Abba Libanos (known for its large courtyard). back to your hotel, relax and have dinner there or at one of the local restaurant

begins with Addis Ababa to jinka


In the morning, around 6:30 Am,the driver will come to your home or hotel, pick you up and drop you off at the airport.


Fly to Jinka from Addis-Ababa.


Arrive in Jinka. The driver  and the guide will pick you up from the airport and drive you to your accommodation . Check in, then drive out to visit jinka Musium. have lunch, back to your accommodation and relax. Around 2:30pm the driver and the guide will come and pick you up and drive you to The Ari tribe village.

The Arri Village

The Ari people primarily engage in agriculture, with their main crops being maize, sorghum, and coffee. They are also skilled in pottery making, weaving, and blacksmithing. The women of the Ari tribe are particularly renowned for their exceptional pottery and weaving skills.


They live in round houses made of natural materials such as mud, straw, and wood. They practise a pastoralist lifestyle, rearing livestock such as cattle, goats, and sheep. After visiting the tribe and their lifestyle, you will be driven back to the jinka eco lodge.



Day 2. Jinka to Turmi.


you will head to Turmi. It is around 280 km drive. On your way to Turmi, depending on the day, you will visit one of the markets in the Omo valley where Benna and Hamar tribes trade livestock, pottery, and other goods. Have lunch one of the local restaurant and Continue driving to Turmi.  check into your lodge and relax.


In the evening, the guide will take you to visit the Hamer tribe village. If there is by chance a ceremony, you will probably watch the traditional Hamer tribe dances called Evangadi. Occasionally, there is a traditional bull jump ceremony too.

Stay overnight in Turmi.

Day 3: Morning, Turmi - Karo Tribe.

In the morning, after breakfast, drive to the Kara Tribe village situated along the Omo River. The distance to Kara village is 53 km and it takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach it.


Discover the intricate body painting, scarification, and pottery skills of the Kara people.


Acquire knowledge of their agricultural practices and the significance of their tribe's rituals. After a visit, return to Turmi. On your way to the local market, take a chance to visit. Eat a meal and take a break in the afternoon. Overnight at the lodge or hotel


Day 4 morning- Dasench village

Drive to Dasench Village at around 7:30 or 8am in the morning.The location is near the Omo River.

Visit the village to see how the residents of Daseench live and experience their unique culture.

Familiarise yourself with their agricultural practices, which include fishing and farming.

Enjoy the scenic beauty that surrounds the village.

After that, continue driving to jinka. On your way, visit the local market. Overnight at NASA pension or other hotel.


Day 5 Morning -Mursi Tribe

Early in the morning, pack your belongings, check out, and have breakfast. At 7am, the driver and the guide will come and take you into  the Mago national park to visit the Mursi tribe. the Mursi Tribe, which is famous for their lip plates. The driving takes you 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Explore the village and learn about the tribe's customs and traditions.

Interact with the local people and take photographs (with their permission).

After you visit the Mursi tribe, have early lunch and then you will be dropped off at Jinka airport to fly to Addis.

Upon your arrival in Addis, you will pick you up again and drive you home.

Day 2: Morning:

Take a short trip to Babile Elephant Sanctuary, located approximately 46 kilometres from Harar. Experience a safari and witness the majestic elephants in their natural habitat. Enjoy lunch and unwind at your hotel.

Day 2: Afternoon :

After lunch visit The Babile Rock Formation. The Babile rock formation is a unique and breathtaking natural landmark located in eastern Ethiopia, near the city of Harar. The Babile rock formation is primarily composed of sandstone and volcanic rocks that have been shaped by wind and water erosion over millions of years. Combined with the colours of the strangely shaped rocks, it creates an enchanting and unique landscape that cannot be seen anywhere else in the world.

Day 3: Morning 

-Visit Harar Jugol, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the old walled city. Explore the narrow winding streets filled with colourful murals, mosques, and traditional Harari houses.  You can witness the unique architecture and intricate Harari decoration in some of them that are open to the public.

Have lunch and return to your hotel for relaxation.

Day 3: Afternoon:

Explore Arthur Rimbaud's House, the French poet who lived in Harar in the late 19th century. The house has been converted into a museum that displays his works and the cultural exchange between Europe and Harar.

Day 3: Evening:

Enjoy a relaxing sunset walk along the Harar city walls, taking in the panoramic views of the city and the surrounding landscape.

Day 4: Morning:

Tiya Stelae field and Adadi Mariam

Tiya and Adadi Mariam are two historical sites located in Ethiopia that are popular tourist destinations. Tiya is known for its ancient stelae, or standing stones, that date back to the 12th century. These stelae, which are up to 2.5 meters tall, are inscribed with symbols that are believed to represent graves or other burial markers. The Tiya stelae are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are considered to be one of the most important archaeological sites in Ethiopia.

Adadi Mariam, on the other hand, is a rock-hewn church located about 60 kilometers south of Addis Ababa. It is believed to have been built during the 12th century and is one of the oldest churches in Ethiopia. The church is carved out of a single piece of rock and features intricate carvings and frescoes that depict scenes from the Bible.

General Itinarary

7:00am: Departure from Addis Ababa

9:00am: Arrival at Tiya
