 Note: Remember to pack and bring your sunscreen lotion, mosquito repellent, sunglasses, hat, medications.  Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. Time may vary depending on the circumstance, flight and traffic or date.

Remember to bring a copy of your passport and visa. If you have an Ethiopian work permit/ID, bring your ID as well as a copy. 

                                                                 General  Itinerary

Day 1:-  Jinka - The Arri village.

In the morning, around 6 Am or 10 am, the driver will come to your home or hotel, pick you up and drop you off at the airport.

Fly to Jinka from Addis-Abeba.

Arrive in Jinka. The driver  and the guide will pick you up from the airport and drive you to jinka hotel or lodge. Check in, have lunch and relax. Around 3pm the driver and the guide will come and pick you up and drive you to the Jinka Musume and the Ari tribe village.

The Ari people primarily engage in agriculture, with their main crops being maize, sorghum, and coffee. They are also skilled in pottery making, weaving, and blacksmithing. The women of the Ari tribe are particularly renowned for their exceptional pottery and weaving skills.

they live in round houses made of natural materials such as mud, straw, and wood. They practice a pastoralist lifestyle, rearing livestock such as cattle, goats, and sheep. After visiting the tribe and their lifestyle, you will be driven back to jinka Hotle or  lodge.

Day 2:- The Mursi & Hamer tribe

 Mursi tribe to Turmi.


Early in the morning, pack your belongings, have breakfast. The driver and the guide will come and take you into  the Mago national park to visit the Mursi tribe. the Mursi Tribe, which is famous for their lip plates. The driving takes you 1hour and 30 minutes.

Explore the village and learn about the tribe's customs and traditions.

Interact with the local people and take photographs (with their permission).

After you visit the Mursi tribe, you will head to Turmi. It is around 280 km drive. on your way to Turmi, depands on the day, you will visit one of the market in the Omo valley where Benna and Hamar tribes trade livestock, pottery, and other goods. Have lunch one of the local restaurant and Continue driving to Turmi.  check into your lodge and relax.

In the evening, the guide will take you to attend the traditional Hamer tribe dances called Evangadi. Occasionally, there is a traditional bull jump ceremony.

Stay overnight in Turmi.

Day 3:-  Turmi - The Dassench Village.

Drive to Dasench Village at around 8am in the morning. The location is near the Omo River.

Visit the village to see how the residents of Daseench live and experience their unique culture.

The Dassanech people primarily engaged in agricultural which include fishing and farming.

Enjoy the scenic beauty that surrounds the village.

Return to Turmi for the night and stay at Turmi



Day 4:-  

 Turmi - The Karo Tribe.

In the morning, after breakfast, drive to the Kara Tribe village situated along the Omo River. The distance to Kara village is 53 km and it takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach it.

Discover the intricate body painting, scarification, and pottery skills of the Kara people.

Acquire knowledge of their agricultural practices and the significance of their tribe's rituals. After that, drive to Konso. overnight at konso






Day 5:-   

 After breakfast, visit Konso. Konso is one of the UNESCO World Heritage site for its cultural landscape and  a rock-wooded village. The konso cultural museum  provides an insight into the people of Konso's tradition, culture, history, religion, music, and art, and explains what you can expect from your visit to the village. The Konso tribe is well known for their wooden stelae, and it is worth a visit to learn about their significance.  Overnight in Konso karat.


Day 6:-    Bale 

 after breakfast, depart from Konso for Arba Minch. It takes approximately 2 hours to drive.  

When you have arrived in Arba minch and visit the Shimena workshop. Shimena is the ancient Ethiopian craft of weaving. There is a place where you can learn and practice the traditional method of spinning, weaving, dyeing, and winding. After finishing your tour, the driver will take you to the Paradise lodge or Haile resort for a check in your room and lunch.

Afternoon:

Head to the Dorze village to explore the unique traditional huts and learn about the way of life of the Dorze people. In addition, you have the option to shop at the local market

Crafts and textiles that are made by hand.

This evening, treat yourself to a traditional Ethiopian dinner at a local restaurant in Arbaminch and get familiar with Arbaminch town while walking around with your guide.

Overnight Arba Minch, in Lodge or resort.

Day 7:The Gree and White sanetti Plateau in bale 

 after breakfast, Take a guided tour of the Chamo lakes in the morning to see the stunning scenery and wildlife in the area, including hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Have lunch and relax


Afternoon : walking tour. The 40 springs in Arba Minch, also known as "40 Springs Valley," is a picturesque natural attraction located near the town of Arba Minch.This area is famous for its numerous 40 small springs,  beauty of the natural environment but also an opportunity to witness local wildlife such as birds and monkeys. It's an excellent spot for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful getaway. 

Finish your trip by having a peaceful evening at your Lodge or resort.



Day 8:- 

The 

 After having breakfast at Arba Minch, drive to Yirga Alem approximately 247 km from Arba Minch. up on arrival check in Aregash lodge and Have lunch , then after  visit a coffee farm and learn about the process of coffee production. Enjoy nature walks and relax in the tranquil surroundings .

Day 9:-  

 Bale Goba; Harenna Forest in Dinsho

In the Morning, after breakfast head to Bale Goba. have lunch at the local restaurant or the  packed lunch from the lodge.  visit Harenna forest in Dinsho, which is the headquarters of the Bale Mountains National Park.  When you have arrived at the park, your guide will lead you to  explore the stunning Dinsho forest. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as the endemic mountain nyala, warthogs, and various bird species.

After exploring Dinsho, Drive to Goba. overnight Goba Wabi Shebele Hotel 

 


Day 10: 

Sanetti Plateau

The Bale mountains of Ethiopia are home to the Sanetti Plateau. The landscape's colour scheme is green and white, featuring green vegetation and white cliffs and rock formations. In Africa, it is the largest area above 4,000 m above sea level. The plateau is well-known for its stunning landscapes, which encompass vast grasslands, heathlands, and African alpine heathlands. The area is home to a diverse range of birds, including ibis, falcons, and white-necked pigeons, as well as numerous rare and endemic species, such as the endangered Ethiopian Wolf.

Take a leisurely walk on the plateau, breathing in the fresh mountain air and enjoying the serenity of the surroundings.

Enjoy the breathtaking views while eating a packed lunch on the Sanitti plateau of Mount Tulu Dimtu. In the late afternoon, drive to the Bale Mountain Lodge for a sleepover.

  

Day 11:- Bale Mountain Hiking

  The Bale Mountains are known for their waterfalls

In the morning, after breakfast with your guide, head to climb one of the Bale Mountains. While you are trekking, you may spot wildlife such as monkeys,  warthogs and various bird species. After two hours of trekking and climbing, return to the lodge, have lunch, pack your belongings, and drive to Goba. On your way, visit one of the waterfalls located in the Bale Mountains of Ethiopia. This waterfall is surrounded by lush green landscape and forest. Visitors from all over the world are drawn to the captivating sight created by the gushing streams. Day 12:-
